'Your Voice - My Voice'  is our one-to one Advocacy Service

What is an advocate?

An advocate is someone who helps you to speak up for yourself.

They can also speak up for you if you find it hard to do this yourself.

You can speak to an advocate if you are not happy about something.

Some of the ways an advocate can help:

  • help you to understand your rights
  • help you to speak up if you are not happy about something
  • make sure you have choices in your life
  • support you in meetings
  • help you to explain things to your social worker
  • help with difficult paperwork and to fill in forms

What people say about our service:

"The Hive Advocacy service has been invaluable to me as a professional. Dominic spent time finding out what she wanted; this helped to highlight what the professionals supporting her should be doing to better meet her needs.

A brilliant service; thank you."  -
